The project will examine the pace at which CDR could be deployed, the impact of different funding mechanisms on technology development and deployment, and how these mechanisms could affect the trajectory and pace of deployment. Specifically, this would include an examination of the relative roles of the public and private sectors relative to similar technologies, how the framing of CDR as delivering offsets may affect deployment and the related role ofn advanced purchase commitments, potential bottlenecks in deployment that have yet to be identified, and what models could accelerate deployment in an appropriate way.
