ACTIVITY 7: CASE STUDY ON THE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES OF CLIMATE MITIGATION TECHNOLOGIES.
We are attempting to answer the question: “how can we avoid unanticipated societal consequences from carbon dioxide technology roll out?”; by examining historical case studies of the rollout of green technologies using the qualitative process tracing method. Process tracing involves identifying, through careful descriptive analysis, the intervening causal process or mechanisms between an independent variable and a dependent variable as a critical form of within-case analysis.
